Carey graduated from the University of Houston with a B.S. in Pharmacy in 1977.  In 1984 he sold his pharmacy to go on staff of a Baptist church in Texas as Christian School Principal and Minister of Music. Carey moved to California in 1990 to study at The Master’s Seminary and graduated from there with a Master of Divinity degree.  From 1993 until 2006, he served on the pastoral staff at Grace Community Church.  In addition to his role at Grace Community as Senior Executive Pastor and Personal Assistant to John MacArthur, Carey taught in the annual Grace Church Shepherds’ Conference, and as well was an adjunct professor at The Master’s College and The Master’s Seminary.

In October of 2006, Carey became the Pastor-Teacher of Twin City Bible Church.  At Twin City he provides most of the expository preaching in the corporate services on Sundays and Wednesdays, and gives direction to the music.  In addition, Carey is an adjunct professor at Shepherds Theological Seminary in Cary, NC.  He also enjoys teaching on various issues related to expository preaching, theology, biblical counseling, marriage, and the Christian life at other churches and Bible conferences around the world.  With a heart for mission work in Italy, Carey has served as a board member for Aurora Ministries since 1994.  His D.Min. is in process at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC.

Carey and his wife, Pam, are blessed with four children who love and serve Christ.  Christen Paige is married to Ryan and lives in Nashville, TN; Nathan is pursuing a degree in nursing in the Winston area; Luke attends The Master’s College; and Catherine attends West Forsyth High School.

Matt and his wife Miriam have three boys, Isaiah, Owen, and Creedon.  Matt joined the pastoral staff of Twin City in April 2001.  He has a M.A. from Central Seminary, has done graduate work at Reformed Theological Seminary, and is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Matt is responsible for the day to day oversight of the church office, the equipping ministries of the church, and preaching on Sunday nights.  He is also the founder and executive director of the Focus Conference.  Matt also serves as a board member for a non-profit group that is ministering in Southeast Asia and is on the Board of References for Sports 4 Him.

Matt, Miriam, and the boys enjoy playing any sport and traveling.

Don and his wife Brenda first attended Twin City in February 2007. They moved from their Virginia home of thirty years to the Winston-Salem area in order to be more involved in ministry at Twin City. Don is a retired management consultant in the coal industry. He teaches an adult Sunday School Class and is involved in the project management of the "Growing Together" expansion project.

Don and Brenda's other interests include family, reading, golf, and other outdoor activities. They have a son, Jefferey, and a daughter, Christina, who is married to Michael.  Michael and Christina have given Don and Brenda two beautiful grandchildren, Benjamin and Sara Beth.

Lai Chow was born in Malaysia and is a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist in private practice with Winston-Salem Cardiology. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Hawaii, and his Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowships at the University of Virginia. He leads a home bible study and a men's group at Twin City. Lai Chow and his wife, Wendy, have two sons, Marcus and Matthew. He enjoys visiting museums, being outdoors with his family, and good conversation.

Fran and his wife, Gail, have been married for over 35 years and have three adult children and nine grandchildren. They are both involved in High School and Youth ministries at Twin City. Fran and Gail reside in Midway and enjoy traveling, sports, and spending time with their family.

 
Jeff Williamson

A graduate of Emory University, The Medical College of Georgia, and the Johns Hopkins University, Jeff presently is on the faculty of the Wake Forest University School of Medicine where he teaches geriatrics and internal medicine. At Twin City, Jeff serves in the Adult Sunday School program and, in addition to enjoying teaching, has a heart for missions and the ministry of visiting with families and those who are ill and shut-ins. He enjoys reading history and biographies, sailing, and travel to quiet places.

Jeff and his wife, Vera, are blessed with five children (Benjamin, Andrew, Hannah, Rachel, Samuel) ages 18 - 9.

Jared joined the church staff in June of 2009. After graduating from Baptist Bible College in 2007, Jared and his wife Janelle moved to North Carolina. He currently is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Shepherds Theological Seminary in Cary, NC.

Jared serves as the Director of Middle and High School Ministries. He enjoys reading, drinking lots of coffee, and running.
