The mission of the Legacy Conference is to encourage and equip Christians toward greater love and faithfulness to Christ and His Word. Powerful preaching, stimulating worship, warm fellowship, and a well-stocked conference book table are the highlights of this annual event. The Legacy Conference is a ministry of Twin City Bible Church.

2024 Conference:

We have secured another lineup of clear Bible teachers whose experience as local church shepherds has profoundly shaped their preaching ministries. It is a joy to welcome Conrad Mbewe to Legacy Conference for the first time. Our two other speakers, Anthony Kidd and Tom Pennington, are long-time friends of our ministry and returning Legacy Conference speakers. They will continue our study through the persons of the Trinity, focusing this year on The Glory of the Spirit.

This is sure to be a rich time of biblical exposition, fellowship, and musical worship. Coffee pour-over stations and a wealth of heavily-discounted resources in the book tent will once again be highlights of the 2024 conference.

Guest Speakers

Conrad Mbewe has served as pastor of Kabwata Baptist church in Lusaka, Zambia, since 1987. Mbewe also maintains an itinerant preaching ministry in different countries around the world and is the editor of Reformation Zambia magazine. He has written about 40 booklets in Africa and four books that have been published internationally, including Foundations for the Flock and Pastoral Preaching: Building a People for God.

Anthony Kidd is the Pastor of Preaching at Community of Faith Bible Church in South Central Los Angeles. He has served as a Professor at Los Angeles Bible Training School since 2000. Anthony was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. After completing high school he attended Washington State University on a basketball scholarship and graduated in 1990. He completed his Master’s of Divinity degree in 2001 at The Master’s Seminary. Anthony and his wife, Sherry, have five children: Jonathan Paul, Isaiah Andrew, Mikayla Rose, Julia Grace, and Timothy James. Anthony contributed a chapter to the book “Secret Sex War: A Battle Cry for Purity,” published by Moody Press. His passion for God’s glory, the preaching of His Word, and love for Christ’s Church is best summed up in Anthony’s life verse, “For Ezra had set his heart to study the Law of the Lord and to practice it and to teach his statutes and ordinances in Israel,” Ezra 7:10.

Tom Pennington has served as Pastor-Teacher at Countryside Bible Church in Southlake, TX since 2003. Prior to arriving in Texas, he served 16 years at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA. He spent his last four years there as Senior Associate Pastor and as personal assistant to John MacArthur. Tom's teaching ministry is featured on The Word Unleashed and he also serves as the Dean of The Master's Seminary Dallas Distance Location. Tom and his wife, Sheila, have three children: Lauren, Katie, and Jessica.
